Do they have any plans to have this expo in Shanghai in 2011? I will be on vacation there in October and would like to attend the expo. What kind of vendors typically attend this event, and how much do the tickets cost?

Unfortunately the Expo was a one-off event in Shanghai and all the pavilions have been removed from the site and gone on to face various fates (http://blog.chinatravel.net/festivals-special-events/china-travel-photo-of-the-day-farewell-expo.html).

However, the China Pavilion is sticking around and due to be converted into an Expo Memorial Museum filled with expo artifacts and bits of pavilions donated from all participating countries. It's slated to open May/June 2011 so keep an eye on our blog and destination guide for updates.
