April 30th was Expo 2010 Shanghai's Eve, the night before the city's penultimate six-month breaking out party began—a landmark date celebrated with a fireworks show of epic proportions lasting 45 minutes and spanning at least a mile down the Huangpu River, from north of Lupu Bridge to nearly the Bund. Here are a few choice pictures that, unfortunately, don't do the magnitude of the display any justice.
