Shanghai Expo: Exploring the city by ferry

There will be plenty of ways to get to the Expo Park, taxis, the subway, buses, shuttles you might even consider renting a bike, but one of the nicest ways to get to the Expo and move from one side of the Expo Park to the other, will be under sunny Shanghai skies aboard a Ferry.

Details are still a little fuzzy and final details have yet to be released (we'll be updating this post periodically), but here's what we know so far. There will be ten wharfs outside of the Expo grounds with service to the Expo, some dedicated to group travelers, some to individual travelers.

Individuals can board ferries at the Dongchang Road Wharf, which is within walking distance of Metro Line 2 Dongchang Road station. Groups can board ferries from the Shiliupu, Qinghuangdao, and Qichuangzan wharfs.

There will be six wharfs within the Expo Park. Four will function as gates receiving visitors from outside of the park, and two will be used exclusively to ferry visitors within the Expo Park from one side of the Huangpu River to the other.

Stay tuned for more!
