Is Hainan beach hot in the winter?

Hey all,

 

We're thinking of hitting Hainan in early January, but the most important factor we're considering in making our decision is wether it'll be hot enough to hit the beach. Anyone been during the winter? Can we tan there in January? They got coconut oil for sale there? Cheers!

Dude, Chinatravel.net is a travel guide! There's a section all about Hainan right here - all you have to do is click on Hainan island in the map on the destination page and it'll tell you right there that average highs in January are 21 degrees Celsius. It ain't Koh Phangan weather, but it ain't cold either. I've had friends go in February and tan on the beach.
