Beijing, China — Marco Polo Hotels' General Manager for China, Henk Meyknecht, has been recognized by the World Hotel Association as a "Top Ten Hoteliers in China 2009.″
The WHA, which consists of executives from the Travel Channel, the Asian Council of America and the World Hotel Branding Association, has recognized Marco Polo and Meyknecht for outstanding services and facilities, which factors in well with the hotel chain's plans for aggressive expansion over the next few years.
Marco Polo Hotels currently has five properties in China: Marco Polo Parkside Beijing, Marco Polo Shenzhen, Marco Polo Hotel Xiamen, the Wuhan Marco Polo Hotel, and Marco Polo Jinjiang; is projecting growth in key Asian business destinations to establish itself as one of the leading hotel brands in the region.
