Sike!!!
There is a fall involved, and the man is drunk, but it's really quite safe. The 233-meter fall of Macau's A.J.Hackett Tower comes after paying MOP 1,700 (same value as Hong Kong dollars) to experience the world's tallest bungee jump.
Many come to Macau to risk their savings betting in casinos, but if you want to seriously up your dose of adrenaline (we're talking see-your-life-flash-before-your-eyes type stuff) try risking your life leaping off of Macau's tallest building.
Afterwards, you'll be enveloped by a feeling of blissful calm. That's the natural result of seeing death race towards you at terminal velocity—and surviving. When you're this mellow, a visit to the city's meditative Lim Loc Gardens really put things in perspective.
Alternatively, you could just go to the Venetian Macau and hit the Baccarat tables. After all, surviving a 233-meter fall puts a serious bump in your luck quotient right?
If you're in Macau you've got to try this, even if you are that "faint of heart" type. The vertigo is intense at the beginning, especially when they frog march you with feet shackled together like a death-row inmate to the itsy-bitsy platform before shoving you off to certain.... bliss. Check the video here below, once you see how easy it is, it'll be hard to argue against trying (despite the pretty steep MOP 1,700 + MOP 249 for DVD price point).
