Hi all.  I am due to arrive for the second phase on the Canton Fair (10/24-28) and looking for a good hotel nearby. I'd rather not spend lots of money, but convenience is really what's most important to me. Convenience and cleanliness.

Any suggestions?

Would you come this year? In fact, if you are looking for a budget, convenient and clean place to stay, maybe you should consider to stay in service apartment. At the same rate, you would always find service apartment which is more spacious, in nicer environment and better service. At the rate of around US$30-60 per day, you can find a 2 room apartment with roughly the size of 70 meter sq.

For instance, I know a translation firm which would lease out some service apartments during Canton Fair. Those apartments are 15 min. by taxi to Pazhou Canton Fair venue. They offer daily cleaning and free laundry. So, no need to worry about the cleanliness issue.

So yes I'll be coming back this year. After all my research last year, I ended up forgoing price and savings for lavish quality. No particular reason, was just easier to book and convenient. I ended up booking it directly through ChinaTravel.net:
