Hey all,
I was thinking of visiting the Yading Nature Reserve at the end of the month and just wanted to see if anyone here had been. It's a huge reserve that plays host to holy mountains, sacred lakes, temples, monasteries and forests.
Located in Tibetan Sichuan, the mountains in the reserve are big, and the entire reserve is above 2,900 meters elevation, most of it above 4,000 meters, so it might be getting too cold to go. Any opinion there?
Also, I'm not exactly sure what the best way to get there is, but I know its quite a ways from Chengdu. Any tips? Do you have to go with a group? Are there any accommodations close to/in the reserve? I'd love to hear any info you guys have - I'm all ears!
Thanks!
