Di Shui Dong
Avg. Score:4.5

Avg. price: RMB 75 - 150 per person

Di Shui Dong is Shanghai's premier venue for authentic Hunan cuisine. A spice lovers dream, Di Shui Dong is minimal in decor and heavy on quality for a reasonable price.

The house special Ziran Paigu (spicy spared ribs) are so tender, the meat easily falls from the bone, and the cumin flavor is delicious and addicting. Other house favorites include Mao's fried shrimp, Zhen Zhi Rou Wan (small pork balls with rice), Pao Zhuan Qing Cai (fried beef shred with cabbage) and Xi Lan Hua (broccoli). The menu also features a wide variety of hot pot dishes and soups and large selection of imported beer and baijiu (Chinese white alcohol).

For excellent fare and genuine atmosphere, Di Shui Dong is definite winner.
