The Westin Bund Center Shanghai (Weishiding Jiudian) is the newest Westin brand in Shanghai located near People's Square, about a 20-minute drive to Hongqiao Airport and a 45-minute drive to Pudong International Airport. The lotus flower-topped Bund Center building is one of the city's landmark and the hotel's massive open-plan lobby is always a buzz of live music from the grand piano with cocktail-drinkers relaxing in the glamorous lobby bar. There are 302 guestrooms within the hotel, which are spacious and feature with the Westin's famous Heavenly Bed. Four floors are dedicated to the Westin Executive Club featuring the Executive Club Lounge with adjoining terrace. There are six food and beverage outlets, including Pan-Asian, Italian and International fare restaurants, all-day dining outlet, a bar and lobby lounge. A purpose built conference center houses banquet and meeting facilities, including a ballroom for 550 persons and 11 function rooms of varying sizes. The Westin is also popular for it's glitzy (and expensive) champagne brunches on late Sunday mornings that include free-flow champagne and a decadent five-star buffet.
