The Beijing International Hotel (Beijing Guoji Fandian) sits five blocks east of Tian'anmen Square on central Beijing's major east-west thoroughfare, Chang'an Jie in the Jianguomenwai Embassy Area.
Typical room decor is elegantly Chinese, while deluxe suites feature variously themed designs. The in-house dining options are top-rate, and many more excellent restaurants are within a few blocks' radius. Convenient shuttle buses services the airport and Beijing West Railway Station and the metro is nearby. Tour packages for the Great Wall and other attractions can be booked through the hotel, but be aware of the fact that these often involve visits not disclosed in the brochures to silk and jade "factories," much to some guests' irritation.
