The Shudu Mansion Hotel (Chengdu Shudu Dasha Binguan) is located in the city center, just to the southeast of Tianfu Square near the Chunxi Lu pedestrian mall, making it convenient to numerous shops, restaurants and attractions. However, this Chinese 3-star can be a bit rough around the edges, with carpets and curtains in need of cleaning, stale odors and the odd roach. That said, it's a decent budget option with a great location and the staff is helpful and friendly enough, though English can be a challenge.
