The New Century Hotel Xiao Shan lies on the south bank of the Qiantang River, making it less than ideal for the typical tourist visit to Hangzhou, which generally focuses on West Lake and the area immediately to the east of the lake. However, it's a good deal, offering solid four-star service and it's slightly out-of-the-way location may recommend it to visitors looking for a slightly different Hangzhou experience, as well as to business travelers.
