Conveniently located in Xian's business and shopping district within the old city walls, the Hyatt Regency Xi'an (Kaiyue Jiudian) is convenient to the railway station (about five minutes away) and airport (45 minutes). The Hyatt's recreational facilities give guests a wealth of options. The gym is fully decked-out with all the latest equipment, and there are aerobics, massages, a whirlpool, sauna and cold plunge pool facilities to take advantage of as well. There is also a tennis court on the premises. The only five-star within city walls, many guests will find it to be a bit worn around the edges in comparison to Hyatt hotels elsewhere, but the service is strong. Dining options consist of a respectable Chinese and Western fare, though the latter is somewhat limited. All told, one of the better Xi'an hotels but not quite up to the Hyatt global standard.
