Located in the middle of Yangshuo, not far from West Street, Yangshuo Park (阳朔公园 Yángshuò Gōngyuán) provides a glimpse of local life. Like most other city or town parks in China, it is a place where locals come to relax and drink tea, play cards, or practice tai chi (taiji).

Towering over the park is Mount Xilang (西郎山 Láng Shān), a mountain said to look like a young man bowing to nearby Mount Xiaogu (小姑山 Xiǎogū Shān), which resembles a shy young woman. Leaving comparisons behind, the pagoda atop Mount Xilang offers a great view of Yangshuo. Stairs at the back of the mountain lead up to the top.

While generally a safe area, it is not advisable to go there alone late at night.
