Ladies Market   (Hong Kong)
0 /0  Users recommend

Located on Tung Choi St. in Kowloon, the Ladies Market, or Ladies Street, is a narrow, four-block flea market of various cheap, shanzhai (fake) goods.

The perfect place to stock up on faux sunglasses, un-licensed Premier League apparel, scarves, watches, bags, DVDs, wallets, inexpensive shoes and various knickknacks, the Ladies Market is a shoppers paradise, or nightmare.

A stark contrast to the designer boutiques of Hong Kong Island, the Ladies Market is where locals and tourists go to buy counterfeit goods and is an excellent place to practice your bargaining skills.

Our advice: go there around 6 p.m., when things start to slow down, as  deals are easier to come by in the evening. Start your transaction by offering 10-percent of the sellers' initial offer and work to a reasonable price from there.

You may end up buying so many products that you'll need to pick up an extra suitcase for your flight home, but don't worry, those are also readily available.

Admission:FREE  Hours:12 p.m. - 8 p.m.  How to get there:Take the Hong Kong MTR to Mong Kok Station, Exit E2. Two blocks from Nelson St. exit.
