Fuzi Miao Pedestrian Street   (Nanjing)
0 /0  Users recommend

Named for the Confucius Temple at its center, the Fuzi Miao Pedestrian Street (Fūzǐ Miào, 夫子庙), or Confucius Temple Pedestrian Street, is stuffed full of little shops hawking the usual assortment of Chinese souvenirs, as well as restaurants, including international chains like KFC. The pedestrian street runs alongside the Qinhui River (Qínhuái Hé, 秦淮河), providing opportunities to take boat rides and view light shows over the river.

Beside the Confucius Temple, the fascinating Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Museum offers two attractions in one, becoming a guided tour of the garden at night (RMB 70).

South several blocks from Fuzi Miao's west gate is Zhonghua Gate, the largest of the Nanjing City Wall's gates.
