Behind the Wall   (Nanjing)
0 /0  Users recommend

Behind the Wall (Dá'àn Xī Cāntīng, 答案西餐厅) is a common recommendation from those who've lived in Nanjing for the wandering foreigner looking for some Western style grub and booze. Solid Mexican food is served up alongside pub grub with decent drinks and beers in tall beer towers (think a big glass flute of beer with a spout at the bottom—like having a keg at your table) to wash it all down.

A Nanjing favorite, this place usually has a decent crowd of laowai and locals without getting too crazy.

Admission:Free  Hours:5pm-1am daily  How to get there:Though technically at 150 Shanghai Lu (Shànghǎi Lù, 上海路150号), it might more correctly be described as being along Nanyinyangying (Nányīnyángyíng, 南阴阳营)—take a cab to where these two streets meet. Though it's most easily reached by taxi, you can also take Metro Line 1 to Gu Lou Station and it's a walk from there past Nanjing University
