The hotel ambiance and environment are great, scenic and pleasant, decorated in a southeast Asian style. The hot spring is also fantastic and the mountain view is especially impressive. I mainly want to talk about the service. I checked in on May 10th and stayed there for 3 nights. During this period, I found that the service in the Western restaurant and the Concierge were very very good, especially the Concierge who not only offered to get a taxi for us when we went out but also offered free drinks to us while we were waiting, he was very patient and friendly. But the reception staff were not so polite and cheated us. On May 11th, we decided to go to Baishuizhai Waterfall, one of the girls at reception told us that if we took their car, they only charged 100 RMB for a return trip. We only took a single trip but they refused to return us half of the money. Later a friend told me the hotel is less than 7km from the waterfall and it shouldn't cost that much if we took a taxi. A taxi only charges 2.4 RMB per km. Saving money isn't really the issue, what bothers me is how I felt cheated - it's a really bad feeling. The service in the Chinese restaurant was also bad. We had wanted to try some Chinese dishes, the waitresses told us to wait for some time for the menu. We waited for 10 min, nobody served us. At last, we had to go to the Western restaurant instead. I hope they improve their service.

I couldn't agree with the first reviewer more. My comments follow: Firstly, the price is not very competitive. Secondly, the surroundings, facilities and service are all relatively good, but they should improve their management. Finally, the Chinese restaurant is just so-so. The service is very very slow. We had waited for 20 min until the 1st dish was served.Unluckily, they served a wrong dish. We changed for another dish but half an hour later, a waitress came to inform us that dish was not available. Oh my dear!! In the end, we spent more than CNY400 but didn't have what we wanted. Actually, the price is normal, but the point is the dishes weren't worth the money. Simply having nice surroundings is not enough to satisfy hotel guests. Lacking competent management and service, it won't be satisfying.
3 star food, 4 star service, 5 star facilities, 6 star charge! To be frank, the facilities, ambiance and service are all satisfying, but the buffet breakfast and Chinese dinner are so disappointing!! It's better to dine outside.
