Overview

The Hexi Hotel is a popular place for tour groups to stay, which may deter individual travelers, but its location is quite convenient, just south of Old Town. The hotel isn't very old, but the architecture is traditional Naxi and tries to blend in with the ancient city's residential charm. It's a bit kitschy and the service isn't always top-notch, but a nice clean place to set up camp for a few days.

The design of the hotel is rich in Naxi features. Free internet in each room was great.

The courtyard style hotel is built of wood in traditional style. The architecture is beautiful.
