Overview

The Golden Spring Hotel has put a little more effort into its décor than most hotels of its caliber. Hardwood floors and faux Ming Dynasty furniture at least attempt to create a mood. It's walking distance from Old Town and there's a nice garden next door. It also has one of the cheapest hotel breakfasts (Chinese or Western for 20 RMB) for a four star joint in town.

The best the hotel has going for is its superb friendly staff. During my trip, I suffered from diarrhea.The manager of the hotel went out of his way to get me a bowl of porridge.

Many rooms have no access to the broadband Internet, while the Internet in commercial center is overcharged.
