Run by Marriott, China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel (Guangzhou Zhongguo Dajiudian)  is probably the best choice for business travelers or anyone who requires international standards of luxury. Across the street from the Export Commodoties Fairground (host to Guangzhou's enormous biannual Trade Fairs), the location is convenient for anyone doing any kind of business in town. The metro is right there too. This place is all champagne, piano bars and humidors with a price tag to match (but when it's not Trade Fair time, hard bargainers can get in with deep discounts).

Marriott is always good. This is expensive but worth it. Their beds are so soft!

For a Marriot establishment, not quite up to snuff. Not sure they've ironed everything out. Staff not bad though--an A for effort, but a little rough around the edges. Langauge mixup over a wakeup call almost cost me a meeting. Thankfully the noise of construction came through the wall early enough!
